Everybody Knows My Name

Wish it was swinging doors, hardwood floors
And cheap ho....tels
Just like an old,  western picture show
That everybody knows so well
I’d come ridin’ into town with a guitar in hand
Singin’ with a southern drawl
I’d win all my fights, love all the ladies
Be the purtiest thing you ever saw

I’d be the star of the silver screen
     Legend of the plains
I’d have a big white hat, a big white horse
     And everybody’d know my name

I’d have silver spurs, a watch on a chain
And always have time to save the day
I’d shoot all the bad guys, never run out of bullets
And always hit where I aim
I’d come out of the brawl, standin’ tall
A hero of the town
They’d elect me sheriff without an election
But I’d tip my hat and turn ‘em down

Cause I’m the star of the silver screen
     Legend of the plains
I’d have a big white hat, a big white horse
     And everybody’d know my name

I’d have a big white hat, a big white horse
     And everybody’d know my name
